How a piece is made

Four months from tree to table.

We use lumber milled within 200 miles of the workshop, kiln it ourselves, and finish every piece by hand with raw linseed oil and beeswax. No off-gassing, no veneers.

Source

Local hardwoods โ€” oak, ash, walnut, cherry โ€” milled from windfall and farm-thinning trees.

Mill & dry

Quartersawn for stability. Kilned in our own shed for 6โ€“8 weeks until it's done.

Joinery

Mortise & tenon, dovetail, draw-bored pegs. The kind of joinery that outlasts the wood.

Finish

Hand-planed, then six coats of linseed and wax. The finish you can repair with your fingertips.
