FOR DRIVING SCHOOLS Independent instructors & small schools

Websites for driving instructors that fill the diary.

Learners and their parents compare instructors on their phones: prices, areas covered, manual or automatic, and whether real pupils pass. A good driving school website answers all of that before they ring, then takes an enquiry with the details you actually need.

What learners look for

Five things a driving school site has to answer.

Most instructor sites are a phone number and a Facebook link. Pupils still want the basics in writing before they commit to a first lesson.

i.

How much, and for what?

Hourly price, block-booking deals and intensive courses, written plainly. If prices are hidden, many people simply move on to the next instructor who shows them.

ii.

Do you cover my area?

A clear list of the towns and estates you pick up from, so a parent in the next village knows they are in range without having to ask.

iii.

Manual or automatic?

Your car, its gearbox and dual controls, with photos. Automatic learners in particular search for this specifically.

iv.

Do your pupils pass?

Real pass photos, shared with each pupil's permission, do more than any claim. Dated, local and genuine.

v.

How do I start?

One short enquiry form or a tap-to-call button, visible on every page of a phone screen.

What I build for instructors

The parts that turn a search into a first lesson.

An enquiry form that asks the right questions

Name, mobile, pick-up postcode, manual or automatic, theory test passed, test booked and the test date, and rough availability. It lands in your inbox laid out so you can ring back with an answer, not more questions.

A page for each lesson type

Manual, automatic, intensive courses, Pass Plus, refresher lessons: each gets its own page, so people searching for exactly that find a page about exactly that.

Gift vouchers that take real money

Family members buy lessons as presents. Vouchers are paid by card through Stripe, a code is emailed automatically, and a private screen on your phone lets you check a code and mark it used.

A pass gallery you can keep adding to

Pass photos with your pupils' consent, cropped so certificate details aren't readable, and easy to update after every test day.

Google Business Profile set up properly

Part of the £250 SEO start-up package (included in Pro): categories, service areas, photos and the link to your new site, so you show up when people search "driving lessons" near them.

Moving house without losing the post

If you already have a site, every old page address is redirected to its new page, so links from directories, old posts and search results keep working on launch day.

Driving instructor FAQ

Questions instructors ask before they get in touch.

I get most pupils by word of mouth. Do I need a website?

Word of mouth gets people to search your name, and that search is where they decide. A site that shows your prices, the areas you cover and real pass photos turns that recommendation into a booked first lesson, instead of a pupil ringing three instructors to compare.

Can pupils book lessons online?

They can send a proper enquiry online, and the form asks the questions you would ask on the phone: manual or automatic, theory test passed, test booked and the date, pick-up postcode and when they are free. Growth and Pro include an online booking or quote form if you’d rather pupils pick a slot, though many instructors prefer to confirm the first lesson themselves.

Can I sell gift vouchers?

Yes. Gift vouchers are paid by card through Stripe, so the money goes to your own Stripe account and card details never touch your website. Each voucher gets its own code, and you get a private screen to check and mark a code as used when the pupil books.

Can I show my pass photos?

Yes, and they are some of the most persuasive things on a driving school site. Only use photos the pupil has agreed to share, and avoid showing the pass certificate where the details can be read.

What happens to my old website and its Google listing?

Every old page address gets pointed (a permanent 301 redirect) at the closest new page, so old links, bookmarks and search results keep working. Your Google Business Profile stays yours; we link it to the new site.
